Account Clean Up

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to clean up a Serif.com account? I have tons of old Publisher betas listed there that remained even after I purchased the final version. Makes it more difficult to find the purchased version amongst all the expired betas. I would be great to just have the ability to remove expired betas on accounts.

@StevenS thanks for the reply. It would be great to add the ability to remove expired betas from accounts. For those of us who like to test, it just creates a lot of garbage amongst the gems in there.

I see quite a few of these expired betas in there as well from before the first release of Publisher. Are they still added to user accounts? I am so lucky I can just grab them from the beta forum posts.

Serif should be able to script remove these pseudo purchases from their user account database - and probably shouldn't add them to it in first place.

The Public Beta was a separate product from anything else the user owned; that's why it showed up in the user's account. But I'm not sure why it's showing up so many times for some users. I only have it once in my Downloads & Product Keys, as far as I can see.

The betas of the retail version are not separate products; they are part of the retail product, and they do not show up at all as separate entries.

Perhaps this is unique to those betas that were pre-launch. I tested Publisher before it ever was a final product and then once made available, I purchased it on Serif’s site. I’m happy that I can use the site to quickly find my license keys ... I just wish I had the ability to remove expired items. Not only can you no longer download the expired betas—I’m pretty sure I won’t be doing that anyways.
