urbantis
Hello, I just installed affinity trial for 10 days as I want to text how it works converting files to CMYK. I used to work with photoshop pro but not any more now I am looking for options. However I do work with photoshop elements. So I opened the jpg in rgb in affinity previously created with elements, I export as tiff in cmyk mode. The first think I noticed when I opened the tiff file, is that the colors are still vibrant... that is not a good sign as with photoshop all the vibrant colors used to go. I tried this file beause I want to upload it to a printing place that only prints in CMYK and I need to see how it 's going to look once printed. What am I doing wrong? don't get me wrong, I do like vibrant colors, but I know when printed they won't be there, so it's like it's not totally cmyk or am I missing a step or configuration? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Staff Callum Posted September 22, 2015 Staff Share Posted September 22, 2015 Hi Urbantis, Welcome to the Forum :) Please could you try going to Document > Colour Format and select CMYK. Then when you export the photo the colours should come through in CMYK and not RGB. I hope this helps :) C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
