Focus9
Today I installed Affinity 1.9 When I want to add a layer and double click on it, the content window doesn't open. To open it you need to select one of the presets. Is it possibly to add the "double click" function again? I checked this function whether it works in other apps like apple finder, etc. It works. macOS Big Sur 11.2 - Mac mini M1 chip.
walt.farrell
This was an intentional change to fix some problems that the automatic addition of the adjustment layer caused. Just click on the Default preset, and you'll get the same adjustment layer as you got before. Or use the Adjustment icon at the bottom of the Layers panel instead. Or Layer > New Adjustment (and each different kind of adjustment can have its own keyboard shortcut, if you want). Focus9
Thank you. Good to know. Not sure if it is enhancing my workflow, but ok... I will get used to it 🙂
Richard Liu
@walt.farrell, I apologize for somewhat "hijacking" this thread, but I am rather uncertain about upgrading to 1.9 due to the many errors and "errors" being reported regarding things that used to work but no longer do, or work differently. Apple doesn't make downgrading exactly easy. I notice no Default preset in 1.8.6. Could you perhaps supply a screenshot of this in 1.9? I think I see in 1.8.6 the Adjustment icon and Layer > New Adjustment to which you refer. Thanks. Should be there in 1.8, too. Click on the adjustment category to expand it. Richard Liu
Aha! Thanks. As you say, it's there in 1.8.6, too. I just wasn't looking under Adjustment. walt.farrell 1 Quote Richard Liu MacBook Pro 16" 2021 M1 Max | macOS 12.3.1 | BenQ SW271 | Affinity Photo 1.10.
