As soon as I choose Print or Ctrl+P the program crashes. This is both n Designer and Publisher ver.1.9. Using Export functions seems to work. It was working fine in 1.8.x. If you provide a upload link I can send you the file with the condition that you keep it confidential as it is customer work.

Hi erchdk,

Does your document contain multiple Artboards? There is a known issue that having multiple artboards is causing the app to crash when attempting to print.

Thanks for confirming that!
You could try copying the artboard you want to print to a new document (rather than modify and risk changing/losing any work in your current one) and print from that, alternatively I've also found duplicating the current document and opening that has allowed the print dialog to show, so you could also try that!

Thanks for the report. Just to let you know I've just fixed the issue, and will put the fix into a beta release shortly if you would like to test it out.

Same here, Designer 1.9.0.932 crashes 5 out of 6 times when I open the printing dialog (CTRL+P). My document has 9 artboards. Printing can be achieved though, as the printing dialog will eventually appear without crashing the app, just restarting Designer and opening the same file several times is kinda annoying, so I'm eager to see that bug squashed.

@Mark Ingram thank you for the good news, looking forward to testing the beta!

For the time being, to work around it, you can try ensuring the first artboard is selected before going into the print dialog (though if you move onto another artboard on the dialog, it will crash again).

How about Publisher document that has multiple pages?
Or this happens only when the document has multiple artboards?

@ashf If I open the same designer document in Publisher and press print it crashes. I do not recall if creating spreads based on Designer artboards or not makes a difference.

But if I make a document in Publisher with multiple pages/spreads I have not experienced problems. Not sure what the issues are.
