[Publisher] Inverse — put the pictures inside the text

Good day to you!

I wonder if in Publisher there's not complicated way to put the pictures inside the text. What I have now is blank white canvas with three image place holders and art text above them. What I want is to "inverse" so the pictures were visible only within the text, so the rest of the canvas remain white.

Is what you want to do that which is shown in my attached video?
If not, then you might need to give more explanation.
(You need to drag the image layer – in the Layers Panel – until the faded blue ‘insertion box’ shows as a long horizontal rectangle. When it’s a little vertical rectangle to the right of the text layer thumbnail that’s not the functionality you want in this case.)
