richardh
Hi, I have tried to update to v1.9.0 for designer (also photo and publisher) but installation fails with the following message: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect..... Any advice greatly appreciated. Richard Hills
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Sorry you've been hit by that problem. It has not a few users who have posted here, but not many that I've seen. Sometimes that error has meant that the .NET framework is downlevel. Sometimes it has meant that there's a problem with the C runtime libraries installed on your system. I don't recall seeing any threads here that have confirmed that it's an error in the Affinity application itself. Googling the error messages will get a number of suggestions for fixing it, but I'm not sure which (if any) to recommend. And I'm not sure what Serif currently recommends.
