Asset Downloads Disappeared on Mac

Recommended Posts

Downloaded the assets from my account this morning and then went into the updated version of AP and tried to import Assets into AP.  I cannot find the assets that were downloaded anywhere on my Mac?  Technically they should have gone to the download folder.  But they are hiding somewhere just have no idea where they would be placed.

Working on Catalina with latest security update.

How did you download them?

If you did that through My Account in the application, then they would have installed into that application as part of that processing. Just open the Assets panel and they should be there.

I also have lost all my assets across the three platforms. I am using win 10 and while I can download the 1.9 update I can't download or register the programs. Each program crashes when I try to register or sign in. Yet my account details are correct.

Ive downloaded the free assets tonight on my Mac running Catelina.  Do I have import the assets?  If so where do I look for them.  I can't see them in the assets panel in Affinity Photo.  Im a fairly new user so Im a bit lost

If you downloaded them via the My Account window, then they would (should) have installed automatically and if you View > Studio > Assets you should find them as one of the categories there. E.g.:

But make sure the My Account window shows that they've downloaded.

To readers of this thread, you may find this helpful if you do not use the My Account installation (or even if you do)

@Espen A

Not that we know of, perhaps create a new thread and we can investigate this

Is there a way to access the assets folder?

The assets are a single file, assets.propcol, not a folder.

This FAQ gives some information on finding that folder:
