eleanorbeetle
I have just installed the latest update 1.9.0.932 and installed the free brushes and texture packs that came with it and I now cannot access any of the brushes, in vector or raster. They seem to be there but are invisible and I cannot select them. See screenshots below.
Staff Sean P Posted February 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2021 Hi eleanorbeetle, Can you go to the install directory and then inside that go into \Resources\Affintiy Designer\ and post a screenshot of that location please? The default path for this location is: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Designer\Resources\Affinity Designer It looks as though you're missing some files from this location. Also if you click on the 'Basic' category name can you see the newly added categories at the bottom, and if you select them do you get the new brushes? eleanorbeetle
Hi Sean, Thanks for your response. Only one of the brush sets that came with the update is showing up - the spray paint stamp brushes - the others are not showing up. Here is a screenshot of the Resources:

Staff Sean P Posted February 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2021 Thanks for that - it looks to me like you're missing a series of files. We've had this happen with users before and could be related to some form of Antivirus software you may be using. Could you fully uninstall from Add/Remove Programs and then do a complete reinstall. This should replace those missing files (provided your antivirus software doesn't interfere). This is what you should see in that location. eleanorbeetle
That seems to have done the trick - thank you for your help! Could you tell me how to find the textures that come with the update?

Could you tell me how to find the textures that come with the update? That's not a problem! I assume you've installed the textures from the My Account dialog? If so they should be accessible from the Assets Panel.
