Affinity 2.0

Recommended Posts

If you want the new features/functionality that come with version 2.0 then you will need to pay again.
If you don’t need the new features/functionality in 2.0 then you do not need to pay again and can continue using 1.9.x without any further cost.
I don’t think anyone can say when 2.0 will arrive. It’s your choice whether to buy now or wait for an unspecified amount of time.

@SFurniss that was my point, when it gets to the 2.0 version, that is next year I will have to pay again, that's right?

If you buy version 1.9 now, you will have to pay for version 2.0 when it is released. If you were to buy version 1.x from the Affinity Store less than two weeks before version 2.0 is released, you would be able to return it for a full refund and purchase the newer version instead. Point updates (1.7, 1.8, etc) are free, but each major version upgrade (1.x, 2.x, etc) requires a separate purchase.

No one knows when version 2.0 will be released. It could be next year, it could be several years from now.

We do not know what will follow 1.9. After that the next major release could be 2.0, but it could be 1.10.
