cruzios
Hi, some help from the pros please! How would I export the attached file (saved in Affinity Publisher) into a PNG format with dimensions of 400X106px ... without having it blurry? The original image I tweaked is something I got off pixabay, as a vector graphic (AI format). I do also have Affinity Photo but it doesnt look good there; I think Affinity Publisher deals with vectors better than affinity photo. (I dont have Affinity Designer though). This is intended for Web (not print). I tried all the offered resample methods, but nothing looks good on export (it looks fine before that though). I tried exporting without the applied FX, (since I think this rasterizes), but still looks bad. I'm using Windows. Affinity Publisher 1.8.5.703. Are any other details needed to share? Thanks for any help! ps...I spent hours on this today, browsing other forum posts on Affinity regarding blurry images on export, and tried several things, but nothing seems to be working out. dividers-4869416 edit.afpub
cruzios
I downloaded a trial version of Affinity Designer and have similiar problem with blurry export. Any solutions for Affinity Publisher or Designer would be very welcome!!
cruzios
Alternatively, here is an Affinity Designer file? [same image, same goals, as listed above] divider.afdesign Edited February 1, 2021 by cruzios
Pšenda
Your ornament is too complex/detailed for so few pixels. If you want to keep more detail, and therefore a sharper drawing, then you must either enlarge the image (more pixels), or reduce the ornament and make it a cutout. Edit: Pixel view mode, Retina view mode (2x more pixels) cruzios 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155. cruzios
Thank you Pšenda, What does it mean to make it a cut out? (Transparent background? Since I believe this is already the case). Edited February 1, 2021 by cruzios

Workarounds also equals wasting hour and hours. This is they advice I gave someone else - but there is no cool answer, I think: cruzios 1 Quote "The user interface is supposed to work for me - I am not supposed to work for the user interface." Crop your ornament (enlarge) to the same image. cruzios 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155. Export>done Thanks! I had no clue that I could just go in and delete those excess nodes (true to newbie form). I was trying to hide the parts of the image I didnt want (crazy rectangle method with erase blend mode, so weird). So I cleaned up my graphic. But what Export settings do you use?
