Keeping Pen Tool Settings behaves a little unexpected

Hi,

I am on windows and just read a nice thread where I learned about the sync feature for elements to not start always with the default style

However can somebody explain to me, why the synced settings vanish after I set the second point? I attached a gif and you can see after I place the second point the fill gets reset. The previous shape was also created with the pen tool but I noticed that it states "Curve".

Is there a way to get the synced settings?

I think this is actually working as intended if you try the suggestions found here it should be more clear as to what's happening.
