arieyuffa
Hi guys im new in all this vectorized drawing and trying to learn. I need help with the following: 2 shapes, one on top of another. I woud like to crop the shape of the top one and make a punch through the bottom shape. I have attached a video i recorded to explain a bit better. I would really appreciate the help. Staff MEB Posted September 18, 2015 Staff Share Posted September 18, 2015 Hi arieyuffa, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) To do this non-destructively: Select both shapes, then press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) and click on the Subtract button (minus icon) on the Operations section the the Persona toolbar. You will get a compound shape that you can expand in the Layers panel for further editing if you need to tweak the original shapes later. Here's a video tutorial that may help. If you don't press ⌥ (option/alt), the operation will generate a single shape (the result of the boolean operation). For additional tutorial videos check our Vimeo channel or this page.
