drawup
anyone knows where I can find the keyboard mapping for 'Remove Layer' in the Layers panel? Alternatively, I could create a Macro instead but it seems Affinity Designer does not have macro? What alternatives are there ? Just realised after posting, this should be posted in another sub-forum 'Affinity on Desktop Questions (Mac and Windows). I can't delete/move it, can any mod help to move it. carl123
Do you mean delete a layer in the Layers panel? drawup
hi guys, thanks for the super quick reply. Yes, I am referring to the Layer -> Remove Layer ( trash icon) I would like to re-map it to my own shortcut key that is more accessible via my left hand hence this query. Joachim_L
Menu Edit >> Preferences >> Keyboard Shortcuts >> Pulldown Selection Edit. There you can re-map. Thanks, do you mean re mapping the 'Delete' function in where you pointed out? I only wish to re-map the 'Remove Layer' without affecting the 'Delete' which maybe used for other functions

Oh, sorry I misread your post. I was simply referring to the "normal" Delete action and not to the icon. carl123
In Edit > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts You can remove the "Backspace" shortcut for the Layer > Delete command and add your own (from the left-hand side of the keyboard), like CTRL+Q so you can use it with your left hand This will not affect the normal operation of the Backspace key (or Delete key) for other functions Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
