BKFC
I'm running MacOS Mojave, and have made many photo albums using InDesign, and would like to switch to Publisher. I was able to export a file I was working on from InDesign via .idml for use with Affinity Publisher, and now I'd like to make a new document using what already works with the file that I have. Normally with InDesign if I want to make a new album, I simply "Save As..." to a new name, modify the page size and margins, and then replace the images. I see no way to do this with Affinity Publisher. Further, If I use "File->New" in Publisher, it asks for all sorts of parameters for which I can't see them in the modified file that I already have. I tried exporting to a template, but the new document is the same as the old and I still can't change the margins. So I have 2 questions: How do I learn the full list of file settings for a document that I exported from InDesign to Publisher? What is the simplest way to create a new file that makes use as much as possible of all settings of an existing file in Publisher?

You just have to open the IDML file with APublisher. Where possible APublisher retains the paths to linked files. To verify this just have a look at menu Document >> Resource Manager. You can replace images using Document>Resource Manager.
BKFC
Thanks for that input. Spread Setup is what I was missing. Fixx
