Coloring a Fill Layer

I am not sure when it disappeared but formerly, after adding a fill layer, there was a toolbar that allowed one to change colors among other things

It is gone.

Would someone kindly confirm?

Hi @Rick G,
When you add a Fill Layer the app should automatically switch to the Gradient Tool. The toolbar you saw was the context toolbar for the Gradient Tool. If you are not able to see the context toolbar (for any tool) go to menu View > Show Context Toolbar.

I can see a context bar but I was looking for the old fill layer context bar. I have licked around like a mad man and got it to appeare a couple of times. I usually fill with a solid color and that suited me perfectly

When I add a Fill Layer, I get the same Context Toolbar I've always gotten (as best I can remember):

Interesting. This thread has a bug tag number applied to it

Just a minor thing: the Gradient Tool's icon doesn't get highlighted when you add a new Fill Layer on Windows (only) despite the tool being selected and respective context toolbar shown.
