I still have a large Type1 font library for print and upgrading to Opentyp would cost many times more than a publishing program. When Adobe dupes its customers, Serif doesn't have to follow suit. It is also not to understand that Typ1 is half supported. As far as I know, all software developers will stop to support Type-1-Fonts or already did that. At least the developers of Open-Source-Software like GIMP, Inkscape and Scribus already announced this a long time ago. At first I was very sad about that too, because I have many very nice old Type-1-Fonts. On the other hand, the new Opentype functions are very interesting and convenient. Type 1 is definitely outdated. You could possibly convert your fonts to Opentype or Truetype if you want to save them, but I'm not sure if it's legal and it would of course cause some work.
