Painting : Layer lock without any reason

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I post here a report concerning a bug that I have with Affinity Photo.

I usually work with Affinity Photo and for the last two days, I've been testing the beta version of the Affinity Photo client, unfortunately I encountered the same problem on both versions.

While I'm drawing on a layer, the layer gets stuck for no reason and I can't draw on some parts of my canvas anymore.

The only way for me to solve this issue is to create a new layer underneath and merge it. (But sometimes it doesn't work, I have to try different things).

In order for you to get a better understanding of this problem, I took a video with the bug .

Many Thanks.
Cindy

Have a look at the Transform Panel with that layer selected

It looks like it could have been shifted to the left

Check the X,Y coordinates in that panel which should (normally) be 0,0

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Select and check all the pixel layers for 0,0

Alternatively upload the document so we can have a look

Thanks again !
The issue seems to fix now, I don't know why but even with the layer selected the X;Y in the Transform Panel indicated 0:0.
So I started again Affinity Photo Beta and it seems you were right the  X: Y wasn't in 0:0 as expected, so I fix it and the issue gone.

Thanks you a lot , now I would be careful with this aspect.
