JimF
I have recently downloaded the Affinity Photo trial and am trying to determine if there are 'quick brushes' similar to those in 'Aperture'. e.g. skin smoothing, lighten, darken, saturation, blur etc - for working on selected areas of the image. I really found these most useful and suspect that 'Affinity' does something similar but haven't quite worked out how.
Staff Callum Posted September 17, 2015 Staff Share Posted September 17, 2015 Hi JimF, Welcome to the Forums :) We don't have Quick Brushes in exactly the same way as Aperture. We have tools that can do what the quick brushes did. For instance we have Burn Tool and a Blur Tool. Most of the tools used for the Quick Brushes can be found in the flyout menu for other tools. For example if you hold Left Click on the Smudge Tool it will bring up a fly out menu that contains the Blur Sharpen and Median tools. Most of the tools you are looking for can be found in these menus :) C Paul Bravery 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Connor8100
Watched the nature portrait video a couple of times and saw they did skin smoothing using frequency separation. Would it be fair to say that aperture type skin smoothing could be accomplished in affinity photo using the blur/smudge brushes as a quick way to make adjustments to skin. Maybe what I'm trying to say is "does aperture skin smoothing brushes just blur out the pixels to accomplish skin smoothing". Chris
