ziplock9000
I'm trying to select just the shirt, but no amount of tolerance will let me select it. (I select the whitespace/transparency and then invert selection) There's always a fuzz around it. I should not need to use refine for this. Photoshop does this without issue Example at 90% Tolerance File AF Version 1.8.5.703 Selection Tolerance Test.afphoto
carl123
I'm going to hazard a guess that there are coloured pixels around the edge of the image but those particular pixels have very low opacity so they are not immediately visible to humans. I suspect the Flood Select Tool selects by RGB values but ignores the transparency value (Alpha) when making its decision as to if the colour falls within the tolerance range you have selected. Hence the selection looking the way it does on this particular image Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Hence the selection looking the way it does on this particular image I just checked and that's exactly what it was. So Affinity Photo does not take transparency into account, but Photoshop does. Sounds like a checkbox is in order! Thanks.
