Resizing the Canvas to Selection

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Apologies if this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the answer.

Is there a way to resize the canvas to what has been selected? I am coming from a Inkscape background where I am used to selecting objects and then using the "Resize page to drawing or selection" option (see attached screenshot). I can't seem to find this option in Affinity Designer.  The best way I can think of right now is to select all, retrieve the dimensions of the selection, and then manually set it in "Document Setup -> Dimensions".

Thanks

I'd like to second this request.

I tried someone's suggestion of grouping all artwork, checking the dimensions of the group, centering it on the document, then resizing the document to those dimensions, but that didn't quite work because the thick strokes of some objects were outside of the group's bounds, so they were getting cut off. I had to guess at the size and enlarge the document a little bit to accommodate.
