Problem with Frame Text Tool

Recommended Posts

First of all the tech stuff: iMac running Big Sur 11.1 with 16mb RAM & Affinity Photo 1.8.6

I have been using the frame text tool to add text to photo's going onto Flickr.  Today after I had completed text on 3 images I came to the 4th and the font size was to big (?), I took the font down to 5pt, as small as I could go the cursor was huge at least 2.5cm .

Totally unacceptable for the photo, I have tried re-booting my Mac, re-starting Affinity Photo and checked preferences to no avail. Does anyone have an inkling as to why this would happen.

Possibly you resized that frame using the detached handle on the lower right, which resizes the frame and scales the text?

If so, delete the frame and redraw it, avoiding that handle.

Hi Walt, thanks for the super quick reply, much appreciated.  I cannot see a detached handle as stated.  However I had a brainstorm and clicked on View then actual size...... LOL

The image is about 1.5cms wide, no wonder the text does not fit.  I've been scanning colour slides most of the day, this the last one before my eyes failed me has gone wrong badly somewhere.

A good night sleep and start again tomorrow by doing a new image scan.  Hopefully it will be fine next time around!!!!!!

 I'm sat here laughing....Thanks
