I need arrowheads for paths (not as a area) that are exactly as wide as the line width. Unfortunately this can't be set (yet) either (see screenshot), corners stick out at the sides. It would be especially nice if I could create my own arrowheads, like in Illustrator.

It is possible even in AD, but it makes no fun. Perhaps there are more elegant solutions than my hacky approach with the Appearance panel and two dashed lines (forgot to do this with Triangle Wide in the example to come closer to your desired arrowhead). And yes, custom arrowheads would be nice.

With the Appearance panel you can "stack" several strokes and in this case I used two dashed lines with identical Dash values, but a different Phase for the stroke getting next to the triangle. You have to experiment a bit to get close to what you want.

Thanks for your effort, I tried it. But since this is very time-consuming when editing larger graphics, custom arrowheads remain important for me after all.

I hope they can be implemented soon.

Very clever, but also very fiddly! It’s probably easier to draw a long, thin hexagon for each line.

We really need the custom arrowheads that the OP asks for.

Have you tried the Arrow Shape Tool?

Due to the fact that Boris Johnson is now our Prime Minister, punctuation, spelling and grammar will never be worried about ever again.  We now have far bigger problems to be worried about.

Yes, this works visually. However, this results in a shape, not a path. But I need paths that can also change direction.

Thank you, that is also a good idea. But: The longer the path, the longer the arrowhead. And I need paths that have arrowheads at both ends.
