Michael Tronn
When I start up AD, I get a blank field, as in older versions, which I like and which is what I want. BUT, once AD is open and I start a new file, I get the preset window pop-up, which I find very annoying. Is there a way of stopping this window from popping up please? Thanks. There are SS below showing what I want and what I do not want.
walt.farrell
That dialog is how you specify the parameters (document size, etc) for your new file. What would you replace it with? Michael Tronn
I would like to just have a blank black field without that, as older versions did.
walt.farrell
Old versions still had a dialog. It just looked different. Michael Tronn
Even on this version, when I open the APP, it gives me what I want, the blank slate where I can just add shapes and immediately work on. It's only when I start a new file after I have AD open that this window pops up. That's why it's giving me a pain... I just want it to be the same always

You can't do anything with the application at that point except: File > New, File > Open, or Edit > Paste, or drag/drop something on the window. You cannot add shapes, and you do not have any kind of "slate" to work on, until you have a document open. And it's always worked like that.
