freyja528
When I'm editing the RAW file I get all this great detail. However, once I click develop, it all seems to go away. I had this problem before and found something on here somewhere that helped me fix it, but I can't find it again and don't remember what it was. Can anybody help? walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. First, make sure you are viewing the image at 100% zoom when judging the quality, even while in the Develop Persona. Viewing zoomed in will give a false impression of the image quality. Make sure you judge fine details (when sharpening especially) at 100% When the image is developed does it make any difference to switch between these two? And which of these two view qualities is the best match to what you saw in the RAW development window? Best quality doesn't mean most accurate - rather most pleasing to the eye. freyja528
Last time this happened it had something to do with the raw editing portion being in one bit and after it's developed it's in a different bit. I found that on this forum with instructions on how to fix it and everything was fine, but I can't seem to find where I did that to check and see if it's still matching or if it somehow got changed with an update or something. freyja528
Yes! This is what happens last time, I just can't remember where to go to check what the setting is.

You can only Develop to 32-bit or to 16-bit. 8-bit isn't one of the choices: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
