Pšenda
1) New Document dialog: A4 template thumbnail is highlighted, document name "A4" (OK), document size correct (OK). Enter new value to Page width - document name to "Custom" (OK), but A4 template still highlighted!, why? (KO). Enter new value to Page height - document name still "Custom" (OK), A4 template still highlighted (KO). My custom Document width and height is now A3, why don't highlighted A3 template thumbnail? - please. This is detected correctly in the Spread setup, why not also in New Document. Please - deselect the wrong template thumbnail, and highlight the correct/matching template thumbnail. 2) New Document dialog: A4 template thumbnail is highlighted. Look at other category, for example Photo, and back to Print category - why A4 template thumbnail isn't highligted? thomaso, loukash and affinityfan 2 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155. Because I don't know if it's really a "bug", where Serif presents some functionality and it's not implemented correctly, or just some shortcoming/inconsistency in the design, which can be improved by providing feedback. If Serif evaluates this feedback as an bug, it will certainly move it to the correct forum. By the way, unlike the request option for the Affinity Suite, ie for all Affinity applications, there is no option to insert an bug that is common to all applications (which this one might be). walt.farrell
It is more common for bug reports to be moved to Feedback than for Feedback to be treated as a bug, in my experience. If you think the program is working incorrectly, it's better in my opinion to report it as a bug. That ensures it's reviewed by the right team. Staff DWright Posted January 19, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2021 Hi @Pšenda, This is not a bug the A4 template remains selected as this is the source of your document before you apply your custom settings

Doesn't this info rather describe the history of the issue appearance than being its purpose or concept by design? Compare other presets in Affinity UI which don't stay highlighted once they got selected or changed, in particular the export presets, which even disappear and show a blank space only as soon the user alters any of its properties: Several aspects in the New… dialog window still confuse me: Pšenda and garrettm30 2 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
