Bettridge
I am still using PagePlus ! Does Designer or Publisher replace it?
sfriedberg
Affinity Publisher still lacks some features of PagePlus, but it is the member of the Affinity suite intended to take that role. Depending on the type of work you do, these omissions (footnotes, cross-references, multi-page tables, etc) may or may not be critical. GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Bettridge In addition to the advice given above, if you can give us an idea of what types of projects you will be making – and what functionality you need – then people can advise as to which application may be more useful to you. PaulEC
There's no reason why you can't continue using PagePlus if it does what you want, but probably the easiest thing would be to download the free trial of Affinity Publisher and try it out to see if you prefer it. FWIW I mainly use Affinity Publisher now-a-days, but still keep PagePlus for the odd things that I can't do in APub. Bettridge
Thank you all for advice. I have been using PP mainly for brochures and greetings cards, two applications that it has served me well. I normally have little use for footnotes and indices so probably the advice from PaulEC is the best for me.
emmrecs01
@Bettridge I don't think you will regret at least testing out Publisher but do be aware there is no "direct" method of opening PagePlus files in Publisher. You can export from PP as .pdf and then open the .pdf in Publisher.
