Catsrcool
I suspect the answer to this question may already be here somewhere but I have no idea where to start looking. I am doing an article for a on-line modelling mgazine. All my images are exported from the RAW files as 4096x2733 pixel images. I would like to replicate the layout in the picture with a box in each corner with a number in it referenced in the text. What is the best way to achieve this? Make the boxes with the numbers in on the fly or have them pre-made for re-use in the future? How to do it in Affinity Photo? I am only interested in the number boxes in the corners not thow the text is flowed round the images on the left.
Joachim_L
I would use assets for re-use. There are two variants of the image box. Set them up and add them to assets. One question left: You mentioned Affinity Photo. But you are not doing this magazine in APhoto? If yes, you have my respect and compassion. Catsrcool
Thank you for your reply. I only have to supply the text in Word format referencing the images as I go like the picture. All the rest is done by the editor of the site. Please can you explain/tell me where to look and what for regarding adding assets as you suggest please? firstdefence
Assets are a way to store objects created in Affinity apps or imported in for reuse later on and in other documents. If you don't see the assets panel it can be shown by going to View > Studio > Assets. https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Assets/assets.html https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Panels/assetsPanel.html If you create an object with multiple components you will need to group them to make a single asset. Joachim_L
Perhaps it is easier when you create the image box in the desired size with all elements and then export as a template (File >> Export as Template). Similar to the attached one.box.aftemplate Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
