genghis_yan
Crashes everytime I do an HDR merge but only when I have 'Tone Map' unchecked. Works as normal when it is checked. I'm using latest version, WIndows 10 on a Surface Book 2.
Staff MEB Posted January 11, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 11, 2021 Hi @genghis_yan, Welcome to Affinity Forums We have made some (underlying) changes for the next 1.9 version that may lead to different results here. Do you mind installing and checking the latest Affinity Photo Customer Beta 1.9.0.885 for Windows and let us know if you are still experiencing the same issue? Make sure you try with both Hardware acceleration ticked and unticked in Affinity Photo Preferences, Performance section. Thanks. genghis_yan
Unfortunately I get an error message when I try to install the beta. 'Failed to start setup. Please contact technical support'
biomed32uk
I am also having the same issue, in both the current stable release and the latest beta build. I can't enable acceleration as my video card does not support it - Geforce 710. I have tried with Tone map checked and unchecked, that makes no difference for me. If I load three images as a merge the progress bar gets to around 60% and Affinity just crashes out and is gone. Further to my post above I switched back to using the onboard graphics on the motherboard, Intel UHD630. The problem has now gone away and the Merge works fully in both versions. Seems Affinity does not get on well with the GeForce 710 which is a shame as its not a bad compact card for the price point. Looks like I'm sticking with the on board for the time being.
