Can we resize objects to dimensions of another object?

Recommended Posts

I spend a lot of time resizing things to match the size of other objects, so am wondering if there is a way to select one object, then have another object conform to those dimensions?

In case it's not clear, I mean that I have to manually input the dimensions of the first object, to have the second take those same dimensions.

Not in any App that Ive used can you do this, a sort of scale to layer or scale to selection.

You can put a request in here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/52-feature-requests-suggestions/

Some of Serif’s legacy software products offered this, but in the Affinity apps we’re currently restricted to moving objects around so that we can use snapping to determine the new size. Although it does work, it’s very clunky!

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
