Cool Clix Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Hi, Is there anyway I can insert an animated photo (GIF) in a JPG file so that when I save and open it next time, only the inserted GIF photo should play as it is? I know it sounds little awkward, but I wanted to try this combination in one of my creative creations. Many thanks in advance. Cheers ! Quote
Alfred Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Cool Clix. The JPEG format is a ‘flat’ image format: it doesn’t support frames or layers. That aside, there are no animation features in any of the Affinity apps. v_kyr Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 See for example ... Can jpg images support animation? ... which should answer your question, also for probably renamed GIF files as JPG files via the file extension disguise etc. Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
