Wosven
Hi, Being able to change colour for guide would be useful in different cases (same colour in background), but also when needing to colour some specific guides, for example to display golden proportions, or other mesurements on master pages. sfriedberg

MaxClass
I throughly agree with the idea of allowing a selection of guide colors. Most probably in Preferences. In addition I would love to see the same color selection capability for all screen text instead of just white in Apples “Dark Mode” as the wide does not stand out sufficiently IMHO. I would love to be able to use a nice green or even orange like we used to see in older monitors. For many people a “one size fits all” is not the answer, especially for those in the upper age groups or people who may have some form of color blindness. This would be another option for “Preferences”. Publisher is my main daily document application on my iMac. —MaxClass Quote OS X Sonoma 14.6.1, Mac Studio M1 Max, 27" Apple Studio Display, 32 GB SSD. Wosven
Strangely, how can you work with other UI colours than black, white and neutral grey? I usually need neutral colours around (in the interface, at least), or I'll compensate adding the complementary colours in my document
feebee
Totally agree. I'd really like to be able to change the guide colours as well as the text and picture bounding box colour which I find much too bold and hard to differentiate from rules that keep articles separate in my newsletters - I'm constantly turning Preview on and off so I can see what's going on. Thank you!

For many people a “one size fits all” is not the answer, No, but to understand this, people should observe designer working... Different guide colors when working on light blue backgroud same as the one of the guides.... Different colors to differentiate golden ratio guides from the other usual ones... Different guide colors to differentiate sub area of the page instantly... It's the same as having a different color for the margins. I posted about this when someone lacking vision decided the margin should be blue like the guides and the default grid. They reverted the margin color to magenta for.... hum, at least one beta update! Was it a week or 2? And since there isn't general settings for such important details, we're stuck, if it's possible, with modifying those in each document we create, or live with other lack of understanding.
