Zoom Bug on load.

is this a feature request.... well 4 years ago when we thought hey maybe.  Now in 2021 with 4k monitors all around us and wide screen monitors the norm, I would say this is a bug it is HORRIBLE for people dealing with small raster images on the web etc and can really trick your eye when you are just under screen size and maybe don't notice the zoom. I'm adding this here because this is still an active thread after more than 4 years so I do NOT think there have been any eyes on this topic so hopefully someone from the team can at least give this issue a read through to feel our pain.

This issue is affecting my web-design productivity on a daily basis.

I work on a 4K screen and opening anything below a certain size (800-1000px) is painful. Not to mention icons, small GIFs, whatever. Everything gets super-zoomed to full width and I am forced to CTRL+1 every single time. Drag'n'drop 10 small images => Cry.

This is especially painful when the image doesn't have a perfect 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 pixel ratio and the zoom level "stretches" the pixels to fit the screen. It's just horrible and completely useless.

Yes, please fix this. When I choose a zoom level, I expect the choice to stick. No tool or other operation should affect the zoom level EXCEPT when I change the zoom level myself.
