Photo 1.8.6 frequently crashes attempting to Aquire Image from HP scanner

I am attempting to Aquire Image from an HP Officejet Pro 2586.  It works sometimes, but it frequently crashes Affinity Photo (version 1.8.6.)

 I'm not sure if this is a Photo problem or an HP problem. My MacOS: High Sierra 10.13.6. iMac (27-inch, Late 2009)  Memory 12Gb.  Anyone having similar problems?

Hi @Kclson,

Welcome to the forums. 

Aquire image relies on your scanner drives, so my guess it that it's crashing in their code. If you attach a crash report, we can have a look for you.
