symbiont Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 When I try to add two simple vector shapes, they disappear. (see the image here) Quote Windows 11 Pro x64 | 2700X 8 Cores CPU | AMD RX 7900 GRE GPU | 32 GB RAM | NVMe M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 • 970 EVO SSD | Affinity Photo • Designer • Publisher
Joachim_L Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Hmmm, tried this myself and it is working as expected. Could you please upload a sample document? Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
symbiont Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 Hey Joachim_L, Yes here is the file. I don't have any problems when I create new star shapes vectors and add them together, however something happened to these shapes, that is causing this bug. Very peculiar, unless I'm missing something obvious? disappearing _curves_in_affinity_designer_bug_sample.afdesign Quote Windows 11 Pro x64 | 2700X 8 Cores CPU | AMD RX 7900 GRE GPU | 32 GB RAM | NVMe M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 • 970 EVO SSD | Affinity Photo • Designer • Publisher

symbiont Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 aha, floating rogue vectors are causing this issue! Thnx for the reply Dazmondo77! Joachim_L Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Not too obvious at the first sight. Select one of the curves with the Node Tool. Then you'll see some artifact nodes (I don't know the correct word for this). I have them marked on the attached image. You have to delete these nodes several times. After cleaning up the curves you can do the Add operation. Darn, I was too slow. symbiont 1 Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
Staff Sean P Posted January 7, 2021 Staff Posted January 7, 2021 Hi symbiont, Thanks for letting us know and also thanks to Joachim_L and Dazmondo77 for the workarounds. I've passed this onto development to be investigated. Quote
