Affinity Publisher doc to word

Recommended Posts

Hi and welcome,

well actually exporting with APublisher is limited to a few file formats and not that much to exchangable/editable text formats at all (beside it's own .apub files), see for example ...

... so probably the best way would be if the collaborateurs would too have a running copy of APublisher, or you would have to exchange text with other people in some other file format (like word processor file formats, RTF, plain UTF-8 text etc.), which then in turn you would have then to merge and include into APublisher.

But they cannot work on the same document at the same time. If every collaborator is working on his own copy, it ends in a copy'n'paste orgy. Something similar like InCopy would be nice.

Yes with binary APublisher files this is difficult to handle, probably even with a better binary file capable version control system, which offers file in usage lock/diff/merge capabilities. Thus dealing with independent plain UTF-8 text exchanges for APub collaboration in this case (as always as a workaround) would be overall better to handle.
