Subtracting from an object with gradient applied

Have a circle object with a gradient applied; want to subtract another object/shape from the first object and after the operation, the gradient is all out of whack. Attaching a screen capture video of the issue.

Thanks for that - I've reproduced it here... for some reason it is using the original position of the Gradient handle, instead of the new position (which you can see by selecting the Gradient tool before performing the Subtraction)
