Buttercup Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I purchased both Affinity Photo and Designer from the Microsoft store for my Surface. The Designer app is showing tools related to Mac. I don't know what to do. I've never purchased software from the Microsoft store. Was it a mistake? I'm also new to designing software and need to learn. Thanks Quote

I'm not sure what you mean by "tools related to Mac". Perhaps you could take a screenshot, highlight what confuses you, and upload it for us to look at? Buttercup Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 Again, this software is totally new to me so I'll have to learn how to use it. I also downloaded the Affinity Photo app. It does not have this menu at all. This pops up when I start the Designer app. I want to make sure I have the correct app for my software. I'm not sure how to handle it if I have the software for Mac since I purchased it from the Microsoft store and not from the Affinity website. Quote

Just close it this panel. You don't need to worry about assets as a beginner. How to close it ? Even a Windows user can create applications for iOS, Android, and other OS. Assets, as well as presets for document formats, are simply common to both applications (Windows and Mac). Unlike Designer, Photo does not include the iOS asset pack, and (if I remember correctly) the Assets panel is not shown by default. Now that it is obviously for demonstration purposes a mix of demo assets would probably have a greater affect and more value.
