DreamThinkLive
Hi Everyone, In AP, do we have an Eyedropper tool like we do in PS? In photoshop if I'm retouching i can select the brush tool and then press and hold Alt/Option to quickly bring up the eyedropper tool. Once i release the key it goes back to the tool i was using. Is this available on AP because i can't find it. Thanks!
Paul Bravery
Hi DreamThinkLive, The Eyedropper Tool is part of the Swatches tab, as well as the Colour tab: Once selected, just drag it over the area you want to sample: Once sampled, click the foreground or background indicator to load the colour: Is this what you are asking? Paul. Hi Paul, Actually want to be able to sample while working without having to go into the swatches panel to sample the color i want. Say if I'm correcting tones while retouching i could have the brush tool active but then hold Alt/Option and the eyedropper would activate for me to sample the area I want and once the option is released it would go right back to the brush tool. Paul Bravery
Hi DreamThinkLive, So would tearing off the Swatches or Colour tab (as you can in Photoshop®) to access the eyedropper tool at the same time as the brushes (see below) be what you want? Alternatively, you can tear off the Brushes tab so that it's always visible. If you are requesting that the Eyedropper Tool be placed in the main Tools palette with an associated keyboard shortcut, then you can add this as a Feature Request. Paul. anon1
when you are using the brush tool you can use alt to switch to eyedropper function. But the eyedropper only becomes active after you klick and drag a pixel, only clicking does not work LilleG and Paul Bravery
anon1
many questions can be solved through looking in the bottom line btw.. I really have to do this myself more frequently! Gear maker
DreamThinkLive, Note that the "bottom line" being referred to is not visible when AD or AP is operated in Separated Mode.
