Obligatory outline ?

Recommended Posts

Hi and happy new year everyone ! 😉

When I select a text in Affinity Photo and change the color only the contour (outline) changes of color.

Yet in the fx layers the outline is not selected.

Could someone help me ?

Thank you.

Make sure you have the correct swatch on top in the Colour Studio.

I’m sorry to hear that, Nadar! Perhaps I’ve misunderstood what the problem is. :/

And now an issue with the outline…

On the picture you can see there is a blue text with a white border.

I have 2 colors in the front and in the back : little circles in color

One Blue and one white

If I change,  putting the blue in front and the white behind and inversely it does not change anything.

How could I reverse it : a white text and a blue border ?

No, you are just changing the 'active' colour from outline to fill. You need to change the colour manually to apply a new colour as described above. 🙂

No, there’s no need to change each colour manually. Just swipe across from one swatch to the other. :) (Swiping from right to left sometimes works for me, but swiping from left to right seems to work more consistently.)

Isn't swiping a 'manual' action. 🤔

Seriously though, initially, tapping the circles changed foreground to background selection and vice versa, but not the colour.🤔🤔

After several failed attempts to change colour, it suddenly started to work as you described. I realised I had started swiping across them.  It’s the 'swiping' action. 👏

Tapping the circle doesn’t change the fill colour you actually have to manually swipe across the circles (as you already stated).😬😬

I removed my earlier post as in hindsight I don’t think it was helpful.
