To show underneath…

Recommended Posts

Hi and happy new years ! 😉

I should like to destroy some part of a drawing so that one should see across it what is under.

This drawing is on a layer, the other on other one

How can I draw some holes with a brush to do that ?

I tried with the white square crossed with a blue diagonal in the area of colour but it does not work…

Thank you.

The white swatch with a blue diagonal doesn’t erase, it just sets the current tool to have no fill. Try the Erase Brush Tool instead: you can use it with any brush you choose from the Brushes Studio.

Bonne année ! :)

Thanks Alfred…Bonne année ! 😉

Another little issue : how can one use the dropper (picker tool) when it has been used on one layer to on another one ? (Very bad English I presume…)

Is it possible to memorise it ?

I mean to get the same color saved on the first layer with the dropper (picker tool) on the second layer.

(when I change of layer the color change)

If you use the eyedropper in the Colour Studio, the picked colour will appear in the colour well next to the eyedropper. Tap on the colour well to make it the current foreground colour, which will be applied to any objects currently selected.

When it is used in the document, the picked colour will be added to the ‘Recent Colours’ section at the bottom of the Colour Studio.

In your screenshot, red is already the foreground colour (so I’m not sure what else you need to know).

Is "recent colour" the only way to memorise it ?

No, you can add it to a (new or existing) palette.

Thanks Alfred 😉

When I do that, it is named : "without name"

Is it possible to write "my red" for instance ?

If yes, what is the way to do it. ?

and what about to have a folder with "my colors" in wich I could put all my favorites colors ?

If you long-press on a swatch, a menu pops up to let you delete or rename it. (When I used the colour picker, the swatch was named ‘R:115 G:98 B:39‘ instead of ‘Unnamed’.)

To keep your favourite colours for use in any document, add an ‘application’ palette instead of a ‘document’ palette, using the menu shown in my previous post. I don’t think it’s currently possible to group palettes together in a folder.

It isn’t misbehaving here, but I don’t see anything like ‘no name’. I always get a CMYK, HSL, or RGB value (even if I switch to French, when I expect to see ‘CMJN’, ‘TSL’,* or ‘RVB’).

*For ‘Teinte, Saturation, & Luminance’ the colour selection mode is named ‘Curseurs TSI’ instead of ‘Curseurs TSL’.
