Affinity File Format PlugIn 8bi support

I wonder if the photoshop 8bi (additional file format) support is planned in the future. This would resolve some of the often discussed issues with non-suported file formats e.g. WebP since 8bi PlugIns are available already.

I’d be pleasantly surprised, Timo! Throughout all its long years of development, Serif PhotoPlus never gained the ability to support anything other than *.8bf (effects) plugins.

No, it doesn’t, but who knows? PhotoPlus couldn’t stitch panoramas — Serif eventually had a separate software product for that — but Affinity Photo already has a pretty good panorama feature.

Well, the 8bi plugins are kind of a ready made bed for enhanced features ... (despite the fact that Serif has to rely on other peoples quality of work). Maybe they are afraid of additional support effort that can not be delivered due to 3rd party product problems ... (But in that case filter plugins would cause the same problem)
