Khit Y. Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Hello! Affinity Designer crashes when I am trying to export a file as a PDF on the 2020 Macbook Pro running on the M1 chip. Is there anyone else facing the same problem? Would appreciate any help. Have attached a file with the error script. Thank you and a Happy 2021! Affinity Designer PDF Export Error.docx Quote
Staff Lee D Posted January 5, 2021 Staff Posted January 5, 2021 Is the crashing only occurring with one particular file or does it also happen if you start a new blank doc, add some text shapes and export to PDF? If only the one file, it may be handy for you to upload your .afdesign file so it can be checked. If the file is large/private let me know and I'll provide an upload link for you to use. Quote
Vophsigem Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Hi, I'm having the same issue. I'm on Win 10 64 with 8GB Ram and 1TB hard drive. I created a file in Designer 1.9 with 24 artboards and tried to export to pdf. It hangs while calculating the file size and it won't export without creating the estimated file size first (that needs to be stopped - file size can be found out after). After 15 minutes of hanging, I closed it, tried it in Publisher and same thing. I need to export this file to a PDF like yesterday. Quote
Seb K Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 Same here on MacOS Monterey M1. It happens when exporting Artboards to PDF Regardless of which file I use. The export works shortly after I restart. Quote
Kaire Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Same here and it's super annoying. Switching back to Adobe only because of that. Quote
