No update to Batch Builder in Export Persona for iOS icons since 2015?

Recommended Posts

I am an iOS developer, and an Affinity user. I am surprised to see that in the latest version of Affinity Designer (v1.8.6), iOS icon set in Export Persona Batch Builder has still not been updated since iOS 9 (2015). Now the year is almost 2021, and the latest iOS version is 14. I wonder when Export Persona in Affinity Designer is planned to be updated?

Also, I find options in the Export Persona a little confusing. In the "Batch Builder" drop-down menu, there are three options for XCode: Apple Universal Icon, macOS Application Icon, and Stub. What should I choose to export an iOS icon set?

Under the Batch Builder, there is "Export preset", and it includes iOS 5-9 and iOS 7-9 options. I can choose macOS Application Icon in Batch Builder drop-down menu, and at the same time, I can choose iOS icons in Export preset menu. It seems a contradiction, and I am probably missing something here. Please make these options less-confusing.

If you could make an easy-to-follow tutorial on how to use the Batch Builder to export icon sets for an iOS app that would be really helpful. Now it is like solving a difficult puzzle to figure out how to use these options in Batch Builder and Export presets. I could not find such a tutorial/documentation.

Thanks!
