Trying a windows version of Publisher and the file that opens fine in macOS won't even open in Windows.

Basically the file takes a long while to load and then the Publisher windows disappears so it causes a hard crash/close.

I am using Google Drive, and discovered that when I move the file to the desktop the document loaded fine and quickly. What the heck!? This is not ideal as I want to not worry about versioning etc.

For reference I am also having a problem in the Mac file which causes my mac to lose storage space due to Affinity Publisher eating most of it away. Just when I close/quit Publisher the storage space is recovered and I can continue with my life.

Any ideas?

Hi @gegagome,

Does the file have any linked images also stored on google drive?

Can you navigate to %appdata%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\ and upload the CrashReports folder and the file you were loading to this link. I'll see if I can replicate the crash with your file or if there's any information in the crash reports.

Thanks

Hi @gegagome,

These files open from google drive on Windows for me, I suspect because I am missing the images also stored there.

I'm getting the crash report looked into to see if there's any useful information, but would it be possible for you to upload the linked resources stored on google drive to the above link? I'll get it re linked on my side on Mac and see if I can then reproduce it.

Thanks
