peterfri
when placing a landscape format e.g. A5 it is cutted into portrait format, the missing part of the file does not come back with the cutting tool. when placing the same file as pdf then everything is ok. Staff Gabe Posted January 19, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2021 That's odd. Can you attach the file you're placing please? You can use this link if you don't want to make it public: https://www.dropbox.com/request/YTgwRINvC70ilMHZUW45
peterfri
You are right, i send it via dropbox, I hid the screenrecording, thank you. When I place the same file as pdf there is no cropping and it stays landscape.
peterfri
Now I made a new landscape A5- file with the same photos and the problem vanishes, I don‘t know what the problem is, but something went wrong in the old file.
Staff Gabe Posted January 19, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2021 I could not replicate it on a new document either. I have passed this on to our developers.
peterfri
it is really strange, I don‘t how it happened. When I replicate it I send you a message.
Staff Gabe Posted January 19, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2021 Do you remember flipping the document from portrait to landscape?
peterfri
no I began with landscape orientation. And something I found out on the problem-file: in the layoutsettings I cannot change to A5 and Printing (printstudio), it works for some seconds, then it always becomes "Autodefined" and Printing. On the new document I can change whatever I want.
Staff Gabe Posted January 20, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 20, 2021 That is because the document you've attached is a single page document where you've made it look like a double spread. But in fact, it's just one landscape single page. The option you see greyed out is only available for facing pages documents, where you can either change the page dimensions, or the spread dimensions. peterfri
I tested it, in the problem file it is as you described. But the problem stays even when I change the document. And in the new file, I can change to one single page. And it stays possible to change everything. The Problemfile has something inside of it that is very odd. The best solution is not to spend more time with it, but to delete it. Or do you want to seek further? Many thanks for your help
