I find it extra annoying because so many have requested actual previews in the export dialog (mostly of PNG, , TIFF, JPG files) for years. A little wording + functionality inspiration for Serif from Capture One Pro 2.1 for the "Open exported file" feature. The drop down presents a list of programs associated with JPG files (by the operating system) and of course a 'Choose' option where you can select a program directly (browse for it).
