I'm an existing Affinity user on Mac (Publisher and Photos) and I have just added Affinity Photo for iOS.

On opening the app I see a list of my cloud accounts including iCloud — but not Apple Photos.

As the Apple ecosystem for images all works around iCloud and Photos, this is strange. In some apps it is listed at the bottom of the library pane, under tags. Sometimes as a subset of iCloud. But I am not seeing it at all

Not exactly sure for you but when I open Affinity Photo and hit the + symbol at the top a whole menu of possibilities are shown. The second box down on the right says Import from Photos and has the Apple photo symbol. Most of the time I swipe up on my floating toolbar and drag Photos up and dock it to the right side of the iPad screen. You need to enable multitasking for that.

Is that what you are looking for?

Seems to work OK on iPad, although the returned JPEG shows as a separate photo in Apple Photos rather than replacing the JPEG of the imported photo, like better integrated apps are able to do.

Could you explain how the same thing is one on the Mac ?

Thanks.
