Deleting row in table

How can I simply delete the red colored part of a row in the table if I want to keep the merged cell A2-A7 - see the attached picture?

I believe the best way would be to separate the cells, delete it and then re-merge the cells. It would be hard to delete that entire row as it is without deleting the merged cells.

Thank you, I was hoping for a better solution. As you write, I finally did it.
It is time consuming when deleting a lot of lines on many pages. In In Design operation for less than a second.

It is actually possible to do so by clicking the small arrow next to the row you want to delete (not right clicking the row), but it is causing a crash when deleting the row this way. This is a bug and I've logged it.
