Will H Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 I'm using Affinity Designer 1.8.6 (downloaded from App Store) on macOS Big Sur (version 11.1) on MacBook Pro 13", 2017 version (8GB Ram) When I add a single image (heic file taken with iPhone) to the document, all is good. If I add several, I'm good. When I add the 10th or 11th (currently 10 is OK for me, but 11 causes a crash) then Designer crashes. Simple to reproduce - open new file (I've used A4). Add files one by one, until it crashes. According to activity monitor, I've got lots of spare memory (designer is using <1G, and I've <6G total used before adding the final photo). Quote
Staff Sean P Posted January 6, 2021 Staff Posted January 6, 2021 Hi @Will H I've just tried this myself using a bunch (12) of HEIC files from my iPhone 7 Plus. I am able to place them all ok on both my iMac 2013 (using Catalina) and a 2013 MacBook Pro (using Big Sur). I was just using File > Place and then clicking on an A4 page to place them. Is that how you were importing them? Would it be possible for you to compress all your HEIC files into a Zip and attach those please? Also could you also attach a copy of the crash report that appears after the crash please? (They can also be found in the Console app under 'Crash Reports'. Thanks! Quote
