About a week ago a magenta stroke began appearing on everything once it had been selected, beit text or objects. It then remains whether selected or not. It appears on older and newly made projects. I've tried searching all pertinent topics and resources to learn how to remove this. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to remove it? Thank you.

Hi and welcome,

you probably have activated via an above button click on the top bar guide icons the visial indication of snapping guides (a magnet icon). See here:

Just press and so toggle the snapping guides button off.

That stroke is the "Show Snapping Candidates" which is turned on or off by going to the Snapping Manager via View > Show Snapping Manager... or clicking on the little dropdown triangle next to the Magnet icon in the Toolbar.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
